Business Process Outsourcing Philippines - Online and Traditional Shopping: Pros and Cons

Compared to the usual route, online shopping offers a lot of advantages not normally seen in traditional brick-and-mortar stores. However, each of these options has pros and cons, so let’s take a look at a few of them, starting with online shopping.

1. Pro: You can easily compare prices between online retailers with a click of your mouse if you’re shopping online, usually whenever it’s convenient for you. Con: Companies using local search engine optimization services mean reading many pages before finding what you actually want.

2. Pro: Shopping online usually gives consumers a better deal, as far as price is concerned. You’re dealing directly with the manufacturer, so you don’t spend as much on certain items. Con: You need to make sure you’re shopping at a legitimate online store. Also, the quality of the product can’t always be guaranteed.

3. Pro: Online stores aren’t limited by what’s on display, so you have a wide range of products to pick from, including items that are normally hard for you to find in your area. Con: It can be a solitary experience, and there’s no excited exclamation of discovery to a fellow shopper. Then there’s the more traditional way of shopping – in one of the store’s branches, for example.

1. Pro: It’s often better to head to an actual store if you’re looking for something that’s really unique, since you can spot would-be problems easier. Con: It’s easier to buy on impulse when the store’s wares are displayed, and you might spend more than you planned for that trip.

2. Pro: You have more payment options when going the traditional route for shopping – cash, check, or credit card. It’s also easier to keep an eye on your card that way. Con: The store might not accept your method of payment, leaving you to figure out a way to pay for your purchase.

3. Pro: With traditional shopping, you get to bring your purchase home with you and use it immediately – talk about instant gratification. Con: The store you go to might not have the item in stock, or it costs more than you thought it would.

Just as companies moving their business online would experience the advantages and disadvantages of business process outsourcing, shoppers would encounter the instances mentioned above at one point. So just take the necessary steps – such as checking if the site is secure, or making sure the store accepts credit card payments – and your shopper experience will be smooth.

Outsourcing even crashed the classified gates of one of the most controversial industries – Escorting.

Outsourcing Became Important for Escort Agencies

Most escort agencies have been populating the Internet. That said, outsourcing emerges as one of the key factors in achieving the company's goals. It somehow turned as a reliable element along the tough competition raging within the walls of the virtual world. But how does it work?

Philippines As The Highly Preferred Business Process Outsourcing Partner

The process of contracting the services of a third party to do a specific business task on your company's behalf is known as business process outsourcing or BPO. Such trend has grown to be a tremendous business in the Philippines at the onset of 2000.  In 2008, the call center industry alone supported a $12-billion BPO industry.

Another proof of the growing call center industry in the country is that it employs thousands of new graduates each year. It is said that call centers started out as providers in the email response and managing sector. With an estimated 80 percent share of the total business process outsourcing BPO industry, call centers provide services mostly for US clients.

Why is the Philippines highly preferred by western clients to be their outsourcing partner? The following are just of the multiple reasons:

1. lower operational and labor costs as compared to Europe and the US
2. high proficiency in American English
3. vast pool of qualified talents
4. highly skilled workforce

It should be remembered that the Philippines was once colonized by America. English was then made as the official language of instruction in all academic institutions throughout the country, and as such made conversations in that language easier for the average Filipino. So it’s not really a wonder that Filipino workers became a high demand for various posts overseas.

These workers are known worldwide for their flexibility and adaptability to work, aside from showing passion and dedication wherever they are located and whatever profession they are in. You can never doubt the quality of work that Filipino workers produce.

Apart from the superior quality of workers, there is more fun when outsourcing in the Philippines. The government is doing its best to maintain peace and order, a climate suitable for any business venture. Food and lodging is considerably affordable and plentiful. Likewise, transportation is never a problem.

Apart from call center, the BPO industry has branched out to other vital services that include legal and medical transcription, finance, logistics and accounting, software development and animation, and other IT-related functions.

If you're planning to do business in this part of the globe, rest assured of success but first you have to understand the advantages and disadvantages of business process outsourcing. It would pay to know all aspects of the business before you even decide to outsource.

How Hardwork Leads you to Success

Here is an inspiring story about a person who became successful in life despite of poverty. It somehow opened my mind about millions of opportunities waiting for us out there.

It’s a story about a woman who created a new outlook towards business -- a business that provides the various outsourcing services.

Outsourcing is when an outside party provides a certain product or service for the company. It is one design intended to meet the company's demand. Services also vary depending on what the company needs for their business.

Early Life

Delia was born as a healthy child. She lost her family at the age of 12. Since their only livelihood is basket-weaving, she always goes to town with large baskets to sell. But unfortunate events happened to her that consequently changed her life where she became a beggar.

As web of depressions slowly wrap her, she found an abandoned house. Being a developer of her own path, she went inside the house and discovered a pile of old books. She opened the book and explored the details.

She never stopped reading from then. The abandoned house even became her new home. However, she again faced another predicament when the real owner of the house went back and drove her back to the streets.

A New Opportunity
My grandfather used to have a fish business in the market. It was the time she met Delia and got to know her life story. My grandfather was touched by her story so he hired her as his vendor.

It was such a great discovery when my grandfather realized how amazing Delia is in being a vendor. With the unique weaved baskets she produces, she never fails to attract countless customers from different places.

In search for Delia's secret, my grandfather finally approached her. So, she let my grandfather come with her to the place where the baskets originated -- a place where the engine of her marketing started.

As what Delia told my grandfather...

I went back home. I saw a group of creative indigenous people weaving baskets. The chieftain asked me a favor of selling their products to town. So we made an agreement that I could get half of the profit. Everything started there.”

(Reflection)

Hardwork can bring you to success.

The method used by Delia and the chieftain is somehow similar to businessprocess outsourcing – an effective business strategy utilized by numerous business owners today. The chieftain (company) renders services from Delia (third party). The tribe needed an expertise outside their zone and Delia occupied that emptiness.
